My name is Joe Stepan. I am currently an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University preparing to study law after graduation. I started this blog to provide myself with an opportunity to publish essays written during my time in school, practice writing original commentary about current topics, and express my love for the United States of America.

The viewpoints expressed here are mine and mine alone. Though I do lean on various sources to develop my understanding of many topics, I am careful to ensure that I see arguments and viewpoints from both sides of the event.

My hope in publishing this, in addition to getting some writing practice, is that my readers will feel they have gained some knowledge about the developing stories of the day and that they will leave feeling motivated to act on that information. On top of this, it would give me great pride to know that my readers feel a greater love for the USA and the founding beliefs and principles that have made this nation the promised land that it is today.
